Charts offered
Alive or deceased, a chart can be done on any one on whom we have the necessary data, which is:
Data Needed to Do a Chart
(1) Date, (2) time, (3) place (town, county, state, country) of birth. Birth time should come from official birth record, verified.
Mini-Horoscope ($20)
A sample reading is available at minor cost. This sample serves the same purpose as does tasting wine to the potential wine buyer--to find out if its taste suits you before you invest in a whole bottle.
The sample reading consists of a description of any outstanding chart characteristic, with my aim being to demonstrate the value of this astrology.
Random Observations ($35.00)
This non-directed reading offers more than the
mini-horoscope. Consists of statements
about whatever "stands out" in the chart.
These could be difficult and/or easy conditions, assets and/or
liabilities. The emphasis is on making
them understandable to the client, who gets the advantage of my 33 years
experience without having to pay for a full chart
reading.
Beyond the sample, choices are as follows:
Individual Birth Chart ($150)
An individual reading consists of a written description (posted in a "blind" page on the site to be downloaded by client) of major aspects of the client's life and personality along with main life emphases as described by his 7th chart (see Best Chart for explanation). Difficult and easy traits and useful directions are discussed. Where clear, suggestions are made for ways to improve difficulties. Questions from the client are also covered.
Single Issues ($35 up to $75)
Some times an individual wants information on a single issue. There are numerous possibilities. Some issues involve one chart, some involve looking at several charts. Price varies with amount of work involved.
A single issue reading involves a thorough discussion, possibly suggestions, of the area of life identified by the client.
Best Chart ($75)
Traditional tropical astrology has only one chart with 12 houses in it. This astrology has one chart for each of the 12 houses, that is, 12 charts. Roughly, they cover areas from: (1st) childhood and individual identity--often very telling about early childhood, (2nd) money and moveable possessions, (3rd) our ordinary everyday interests as well as most forms of mental illness, relations to siblings, (4th) homes (rented and owned) and relationship to male parent, (5th) sexuality, children, creativity (6th) health and service, (7th) close relationships (close friends, marriage, business partners) and identity forged through others, (8th) shared assets, including finances, property, and psychological states, transformations, (9th) air travel, religion, higher or perspective mind, foreign matters, (10th) career, social identity, and relation to female parent, (11th) relations with groups, and (12th) submerged conditions and other potential pitfalls.
The chart I work with most often is the 7th . Indeed, I used it alone for the first 10 years working with this method. Then something happened to me which was not reflected in the 7th chart, so I started investigating the other charts. Our 7th chart is the primary chart through which we recognize each other's identity. It does a good job of covering most areas of the individual's life.
Every one does not have a distinctly "best" chart. For most people the chart of choice for a reading is the 7th. For those who have a best chart (other than the 7th), it is well worth identifying which one it is. That chart shows the area the individual operates best in. I have a best chart. When I have operated out of it, my life has always worked better than when working out of my 7th chart.
The paper on Dag Hammarskjöld (site mentioned above) demonstrates the radical life change an individual experiences when he changes from his (usual) 7th chart to his best chart. For Hammarskjöld, his best chart was his 6th (service), which was activated when he was invited to be Secretary-General of the United Nations.Identification of the best chart includes a thorough explanation of why it is better than the (usual) 7th chart. It does not include a thorough reading of the 7th chart.
North Nodes Astrology ($50)
The moon's North Nodes are very important in this form of astrology. Behavior symbolized by the sign, house, and condition of the North Node is cosmically favored for success and growth. The condition of its opposite, the moon's South Node, describes behavior that gets us shunned, mired in the past, and looked down on. Our North Nodes describe the consciousness we need more of in this incarnation. South Nodes point to thinking that is too "off center," a form of imbalance that occurs when we focus too much on the past (South Nodes), or stated another way, focus too much on what we already have and stop growing.
There are four nodes in the 7th chart, the major chart of this method. One or more of them is often crucial in describing the individual's most rewarding direction(s). A reading of the Nodes includes a thorough identification of their characteristics and places in life they are most operative.
Synastry ($265 for two people)
In astrology, synastry is the word used to describe comparison of two charts for compatibility, difficulties, similarity of purpose, etc. Synastry can be very useful for lovers, spouses, parent-child, business partners, therapist-client, teacher-student, and others.
There are certain interactions which greatly facilitate a long-term relationship. The most potent is one person's jupiter on another's Angles. While love (an Angle to venus or light/venus interaction) is very exciting and has some durability, it does not come any where near jupiter/Angle for durability. Jupiter represents a long, benevolent rope, an appreciation of the totality of the other individual. Venus represents a much shorter rope, sometimes grasping, an appreciation of the other individual's desirability. The difference between these two planets as indicators of a good marriage is adequately represented in our culture, with its high divorce rate, where love is considered the best reason for marriage.
Conversely, there are certain chart interactions which promise endless mutual blame. The most trying is one person's mars conjunct another's saturn. We have all seen examples of these latter in bitter, acrimonious divorces saturated with mutual blame. There are a number of others.
Synastry is revealing in any relationship between two people. For instance, some times a talented and sincere therapist has trouble helping his client because by just being himself he automatically pulls his client in the wrong direction. The same holds true for parents with their children. One such case occurs when the therapist's (parent's) sun is conjunct the other's South Node. His expressed essence (sun) continually brings the other to past (rather than present) life consciousness, which is definitely not the right direction for the patient's growth. Discovery of such conditions creates openings with a minimum of finger pointing. The therapist may refer his client elsewhere. The parent may, without guilt, look for help from surrogate parents or big brothers/sisters.
Synastry of two charts for two individuals involves major qualities of each chart individually plus a thorough discussion of strengths and weaknesses between charts.
Locality Chart ($50 per chart)
When some one lives in an area different from his birth, his chart "moves" with him. If we look at the birth chart as a clock with "12" normally at the top, a locality chart may have any of the other 11 numbers near the top, so its orientation is not "standard" relative to 12 being on top. The same numbers are still there, and they are still in the same order. But, a locality chart puts areas of the chart that used to be in the background in the foreground. Vice versa, areas that used to be foreground go into background. The birth imprint is very strong, but locality charts work. I should say, to my once-upon-a-time surprise, locality charts really work. Locality charts demonstrate the astrological basis for individual's experiencing their lives so differently in different areas.
Locality charts can be done on two or more people For instance, if a married couple moves to a different state or country, each will have a changed (locality) chart. They will relate differently to their new environment (that is, to people in it) than they did to their old one. And they will relate to each other at least as much based on their changed Angles as on their birth Angles.
If an individual's locality chart brings up a very difficult part of his astrology, that will be reflected in his experience of the area. Conversely, some one who--maybe for the first time--puts a fortunate part of his chart on Angles in his new locality will experience his move as quite beneficial.
A locality chart reading contains a discussion from the 7th chart (the main chart of this method) about birth chart conditions--easy and difficult--brought forward by the move. It does not include a full 7th chart reading.
Some astrologers will search for the best--of innumerable--localities for an individual. If you want that kind of locality identification, look for an astrologer who does that type of work.
About Predictions
Predictions involve having an absolutely accurate birth time because for every four minutes that birth time is off, predictions are off by a year. To establish correct time of birth, astrologers check the given time of birth against at least three life events provided by the client. This is known as chart rectification, a very special process. The cost for the rectification of a chart is $55. It does not include reading the chart.
It does not seem to matter if predictions promise joy (e.g., marriage) or pain (e.g., a difficult life period)--either tends to put the individual too much in his mind and his "future," that is, in an imaginary world. For that reason I am conservative in handing out predictions.
